Culture Committee
The culture committee was established to help promote, address, and work on shaping the company’s culture. We regularly meet to discuss and understand where we are as a company and brainstorm ideas to help strengthen the workplace organization and GMA as a whole. The ambassador program was established to assist in gathering feedback from different parts of the organization. This helps us organically generate employee buy-in for culture because we/you are the ones building it. The committee encourages the Ambassadors to reach out, we ask that you take the time to engage. These programs cannot be successful without the input and feedback for all of you. Thank-you to all that have participated thus far and your continued engagement in the strive to make GMA one of the best places to work.
Culture is what creates the day-to-day experience. When there is good culture, employees are engaged, committed, and excited to come to work. One of the ways to achieve this is through clear expectations - how work gets done, why it is important, and how teams are expected to operate. Below are a few examples of what GMA Culture Committee is diligently working on to help grow our culture stronger:
Day 1 Seminar: The onboarding process for new hires has been completely revamped and restructured to ensure that we put our best foot forward in welcoming new team members.
Training & Development: The organization acknowledges the importance of continued professional development as a key to our success. We are collaborating across departments to establish beneficial training sessions to ensure all parties are operating uniformly and understand the “GMA Way” of project procedures. Keep an eye out for the scheduling of these upcoming sessions - the first being the start of a project with Contracts & Purchase Orders!
Professional Growth: In conjunction with the above Training & Development the committee acknowledges the need to better define and establish what professional growth looks like at GMA. We are taking the previously discussed roles & responsibilities and outlining the functions, responsibilities, and level of understanding that are needed in order to take the next step up the organizational ladder.
Outside Organization: Establishing a more active participation in the many outside organizations that GMA is a part of. This not only continues to grow our networking benefits but also assists in the growth and best practices of our own organization – learning by others, access to resources to aid in our own success.
The culture committee is aimed to invest in the success of our employees, well-being and happiness. Please reach out to the Culture Committee if you have any questions, have any feedback or suggestions for improvement or are interested in participating in outside organizations/networking activities.
2024 State of the Company Address: Swinging for the Fences!
GMA is excited to welcome everyone to the annual State of the Company Address on May 9th at Guaranteed Rate Field. The event will include a presentation on the company followed by dinner and Sox game in a private suite! Please be sure to confirm your attendance using the calendar invite.
